Venture capital firm Index Ventures has raised $3.5bn (£2.7bn) across three new funds to back technology businesses from seed stage through to growth.
The capital expansion includes a $400m (£308m) seed fund, a $900m (£693m) venture fund and a $2.2bn (£1.7bn) growth fund. The growth vehicle includes $700m (£539m) in additional capital added to its existing $1.5bn (£1.2bn) 2024 pool.
The company stated the new capital will support technology founders operating across time zones from Tel Aviv to San Francisco, with a focus on artificial intelligence applications across infrastructure, cybersecurity, fintech and healthcare.
Index Ventures has backed companies including fintech firm Revolut, food delivery service Deliveroo and payments platform Adyen over its 30-year history.
