CVC Capital Partners has appointed TPG president Todd Sisitsky as its next co-chief executive, as the private equity firm sets out the next phase of its leadership succession.
Sisitsky will join CVC from TPG, a global asset management firm, where he has been president since 2021 and will become co-CEO alongside CVC president Peter Rutland by Q1 2028. At that point, Rob Lucas will step back as chief executive.
In his new role, Sisitsky will also chair CVC’s partner board as co-CEO. Soren Vestergaard-Poulsen will continue as CIO of private equity and chair the Europe/Americas, strategic opportunities and catalyst investment committees.
Sisitsky has spent more than 23 years at TPG, most recently serving as president and co-chair of its management committee. He has also sat on TPG’s board of directors and executive committee.
He built his investment career primarily in healthcare and as a leader of TPG Capital, the firm’s flagship investment fund.
His responsibilities expanded during his time as president to include several of TPG’s private equity strategies, as well as leadership of its organic and inorganic growth strategies.
Lucas has led CVC since June 2021, including through the firm’s IPO on Euronext Amsterdam in April 2024. Following the CEO transition, he will remain involved at group level and in CVC’s investment activities, continuing as a member of the Europe/Americas, strategic opportunities and catalyst investment committees. He will also serve as a key man for Europe/Americas Fund X.
CVC said: "The leadership transition follows its established approach of planning senior management changes over several years. The appointments also support its focus on performance, growth and diversification."
