Dippi opens £200,000 SEIS-eligible funding round ahead of UK launch

The company is targeting £30m in revenue within five years, equivalent to 1.4% of its estimated £2.1bn serviceable addressable market

Finnish-inspired dip brand Dippi has opened a £200,000 SEIS-eligible funding round ahead of its planned UK launch in January 2027.

The round combines public pre-sale investment through Kickstarter with private equity investment. The company has not yet disclosed its valuation or the identity of its investors.

Dippi was founded by Miia Paavola, a former technology product manager and produces shelf-stable high-protein and high-fibre dip mixes designed to be combined with yoghurt.

The funding will support Dippi’s UK launch, with £45,000 allocated to production and stock, £54,000 to marketing and customer acquisition, £60,000 to team and operations and £41,000 held as a runway buffer.

The business said it has already generated early consumer traction, with its pop-up selling out twice and more than 3,000 prospective customers joining its waitlist. The brand said more than 500 people have sampled its products to date, with 40% subsequently making a purchase.

The company said it plans to launch through direct-to-consumer sales and Amazon, before expanding into retail, with a target of securing two major retail partners per year.

Dippi is targeting expansion into Europe in years two to three and North America in years four to five, with the company estimating a total addressable market of £12.8bn across dips, protein and snacking in the UK, Europe and North America.

The company is targeting £30m in revenue within five years, equivalent to 1.4% of its estimated £2.1bn serviceable addressable market.

Miia Paavola, founder of Dippi, said: “I wanted a healthier weekday dip, but most dips on the market were filled with oils and calories. I’m an ex-MasterChef contestant, an ex-senior product manager at tech scale-ups, someone who loves great food, but also conscious of the protein and fibre in my own diet.

“So I asked myself: what if I took the Finnish dip mixes I grew up with – the ones you mix with yoghurt – and powered them up with protein and fibre? That’s Dippi: a dip mix that turns plain yoghurt into a delicious, protein-dense dip, for health-conscious people who love a dip but don’t want the calories. Because everything’s better dipped!”
