InfraTech Capital appoints global sales EVP and chief financial officer

Richard Caldwell and Edward Hamilton will report to chief executive Luiz Fuschini as the infrastructure investment platform expands its leadership team

InfraTech Capital has appointed Richard Caldwell as executive vice president of global sales and Edward Hamilton as chief financial officer, as the platform expands its board. The company has also increased the number of seats on its board in coordination with its investors.

Both executives will report to Luiz Fuschini, president and chief executive of InfraTech Capital. Caldwell will oversee global sales strategy and business development, while Hamilton will lead group financial strategy and oversight.

Caldwell has more than 25 years of experience in the European telecommunications sector, including a tenure at Vodafone. His responsibilities will include international market development, strategic customer relationships and coordination of regional sales teams.

Meanwhile, Hamilton has 20 years of experience across private equity and infrastructure funds, including time at Barclays in the UK. His remit will cover capital planning, cash management, financial reporting and controls, as well as the financial assessment of investment opportunities.

Chief operating officer Aloysio Bleyer will continue to oversee operations at InfraTech Cables, including a new optical fibre cable manufacturing plant under development in Poland, in coordination with InfraTech Capital Italia.

Bleyer’s responsibilities include procurement, manufacturing partner coordination, product engineering, supply chain, logistics and commercial administration.

InfraTech Capital said corporate strategy, capital allocation, financial oversight and global commercial planning will remain at group level.

Fuschini said: "Our commercial ambitions have to be matched by sound financial management and reliable execution. Caldwell and Hamilton bring the sector experience to help us expand our commercial reach and make disciplined capital decisions."
