CVC opens new Edinburgh office

New Scottish base will centralise long-term operational infrastructure for the firm’s international network

CVC Capital Partners has opened a new office in Edinburgh, creating a permanent base in the Scottish capital to support its fund operations.

The site in South Gyle will initially accommodate 20 staff as the firm expands in the city, drawing directly on local financial and professional services talent.

The move marks an expansion of the group’s global platform, intended to centralise long-term operational capabilities across its international network.

Founded four decades ago, the alternative asset manager operates across 31 offices in six continents.

Ken Young, managing partner and chief operating officer of CVC, said: “There is a fantastic pool of talent in Edinburgh, thanks to the city’s history as one of the world’s first global financial centres and as a birthplace of the modern asset management industry. There has always been a strong Scottish cohort within CVC’s leadership, so we are particularly proud to be putting down roots here.

“Edinburgh combines a remarkable financial heritage with a thriving, modern professional community. We’re starting with a small team, but we see real potential to grow our presence here.”
